Welcome to the Raybould’s website
This is a memories and recollections web site which emerged in 2013 when the remaining ”direct” cousins met at Hazel’s invitation to celebrate her 70th birthday. An inspired thought, and an inspiring day, when the chatter never stopped, even for food, and the memories were honed and polished and elaborated upon no doubt as the vino vanished and we wended our several ways home.
It was important that those memories, if one could remember them the day after, were retained and handed on from those who remember Gladys and the other mums to the new generations – if they were interested. That is the point of the site, it is neither a family tree nor a historical narrative, although elements of both will inhabit its pages. It is a memory site, a hoard of perceptions, memories, thoughts and above all personal recollections. So if your take on events was different, you have something to say, then just do it. Make the site come alive!
If you Facebook, don’t forget the group page – search “Raybould Cousins”. If you WhatsApp, don’t forget that group. search “The Rayboulds”, and if you WhatsApp, but don’t do Facebook, catch up on the feed at the bottom of this page.
