Free the Pumphrey two…

Or is it “Free, the Pumphrey two” (to anybody that would like them)? It’s a good slogan for a supermarket, but in this case the husband and wife Pumfrey are being adulated or at least motive questioned by Ian.

In their time they were shunted out of Woodend to Pat’s Terang as Ian tried to return them to their rightful home. Pat then moved house and they undertook the long sea voyage to Rattlesden where Penny and Laurance live. In comparison it was only a hop and skip to Powys and Merryhall where they now reside.

Any road up, their robust, rotund, (che)rubic faces intrigued and inspired Ian to put pen to paper, and the result is below.
