Well we couldn’t have really expected the sort of weather we had two years ago, but really it wasn’t bad. Overcast, yes. Raining, yes. Miserable making, no. Did it affect the journeys, no not really, quite pleasant driving I think. Above all it was good to see everyone again.

Top topics: how to halt ageing, how to get the legs working again and of course – Cindy and Del and the bike-about marathon. Universal praise and admiration along the lines of “how on earth did they do that”, and “at that age” (sorry guys, you don’t avoid the first two topics). The overriding comment was “Well done you two”.

At three fifteen or so, having forgotten the time due to a splendid lunch (thanks to all the participant providers), we got our act together and Graham joined us from NO, and not SL as I mistakenly said. Lovely blue skies and the two of them looking remarkably fit and alive despite a late night we understand. Super looking house, and Graham promised us a look at the front on another occasion. And from those of us who hadn’t met Susan before a big hello to you.
